My watercolors are greatly inspired by my love for traditional dresses that speak so much about rich cultures and many interesting details of the habits and thought processes of a group of people. Drawing inspiration from my own Indian heritage, I love painting sarees, the traditional dress worn by women in India across all sectors of society and different regions. Just as my papercuts, the women wearing sarees in my paints evoke the same feelings of joyfulness and positivity. You are invited to join my closed Facebook Group called India Stories, where if you post a photo of yourself in a saree, I would consider it strongly to have it painted. You are invited to be part of this colorful beautiful world of complex and simple patterns.
